Young Talents, Film & Conversation

Festival Nights is an interdisciplinary cultural platform founded by violinist, composer, and interdisciplinary artist Yury Revich. Bringing together music, film, visual arts, dance, theater, digital art and dialogue, Festival Nights creates encounters between emerging and established voices across artistic disciplines.

On 12 June 2026, Festival Nights and Steinway & Sons Vienna will host a special edition dedicated to young talent in music and film.

The evening consists of two events.

An inspiring presentation featuring exceptional young musicians from Austria and beyond, performing works by Saint-Saëns, Chopin, Piazzolla, and other great composers.

A curated presentation of award-winning and emerging short films exploring identity, memory, longing, communication, and contemporary society.

Set in Saudi Arabia in 1987, a young man attempts to win the affection of his dream girl by impersonating her favorite 1980s pop star. The film has received international acclaim and numerous festival selections.

 

DEAD AIR (2025)
Directed by Andrej Haring (15 Min.)

Premiered at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF), an Academy Award-qualifying festival, before continuing its successful international festival run.

Set against the backdrop of the escalating conflict in former Yugoslavia, the film follows an Austrian radio presenter tasked with delivering difficult news during a moment of profound historical change.

 

INCOMPLETE (2023)

Music by Yury Revich (16 min)

A poetic short film about loneliness, desire, and the search for human connection. Through a deeply personal letter, a man reflects on longing for someone he has never met and questions what it means to feel complete.
