Classic and elegant, contrasting with modern and progressive—this dichotomy will be elucidated through a fashion show, as performed by internationally renowned ballet dancers and actors.

 

Musically, we present lesser-known pieces from the Baroque period, followed by the electro-fantasy of the Israeli DJ Tomer Maizner.

3. Money - Art -Music

In the former center of power, the Hofburg, we explore the influence of money upon art and music.

 

We show how strongly patronage has influenced the emergence of world-famous masterpieces, and how the dedicatee of a work has led its composer to forging new directions in musical history.

Nature has always played an important role in the inspiration for music and art. “Mother Earth” explores the influence of nature upon the arts, as well as that of man upon nature.

Matej Mestrovic is honored with the Austrian premiere of his re-composition of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. The ultra-famous piece is given new life through modern elements: Jazz and funk inspire humor and melancholy.

 

In the second half of the event, the internationally known duo Aliada presents works inspired by nature, landscapes, and light.

Welcome to the musical Kingdom of Animals!

 

In the orangutan house of Tiergarten Schönbrunn, we revive the Imperial tradition of concerts in the Zoo. “The Carnival of the Animals” by Camille Saint-Saëns forms the centerpiece of the program, played by the most famous twin sisters on the piano, Ferhan and Ferzan Önder.

 

The reading of accompanying play will be performed by Ms. Sunnyi Melles.
